Manali Leh bike trip is one the most adventurous journey in the Himalayas, Ladakh lies in the northern part of India at the height of 3500Mtrs above sea level. Ladakh region offers one of the world’s toughest terrains for Adventure Motorcycle Travellers, it has the world’s highest motorable road “Khardungla Pass”, the top mountains pass in the Himalayas. Apart from difficult terrains and harsh weather conditions, it has some unique cultural diversity like most of the population in Ladakh follow Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism. One will get to explore ancient monasteries and stupas. Motorcycle trip to Ladakh from Delhi will offer to explore the entire stretch starting from Manali – Leh highway, World Famous Pangong lake, Sand Dunes of Nubra valley and more importantly you will be riding through the Newly built “Atal Tunnel” which is the world's longest high-altitude road tunnel at the height of 3000Mtrs above sea level.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1 - 
Delhi to Manali Overnight Journey by Volvo

Kilometers - 530

Upon arrival in New Delhi, we will provide you with the pickup point from where we will start our Bus Journey to Manali. Our crew member will help you to get on the bus. Get ready for the long overnight journey from Delhi to Manali. It’s a 530Kms distance which may take 13-15 hours to reach Manali.

Day 2 - 
Arrival at Manali

On the 2nd day of the Leh Ladakh Bike Trip, you will reach Manali in the morning; our crew member will pick you up from the bus stop and drop you at the hotel. After lunch, we will start the registration process, documentation, and Bike & riding gear scrutiny. Evening we will have a briefing session followed by dinner.

Day 3 - 
Manali to Sarchu

Kilometers - 175

Today you will be riding for the first time on the Leh Ladakh Bike trip, soon after breakfast, we will saddle up for one of the most Adventurous Motorcycle Tours in the world. We will ride out of Manali town and reach Solang valley road at Dundhi village, it’s the starting point of “Atal Tunnel” which is the world's longest high-altitude road tunnel at the height of 3000Mtrs above sea level, a total distance of the tunnel is about 9Kms, after that, we will reach Telling village which is the other side of the tunnel on Manali-Leh highway. Today we will cross Baralacha Pass before reaching Sarchu; Baralacha pass is at the height of 4890 Mtrs ASL. Sarchu is at a height of 14000ft and its oxygen level is always differing from low altitude areas.

Day 4 - 
Sarchu to Leh

Kilometers - 240

After breakfast, we will start our further journey towards Leh Ladakh, we will cross Gata Loops and reach Naki La mountain pass, to begin with. Most terrains are mixed with good and bad roads, so one needs to be extra careful while riding on these mountains. We will also be crossing Lachungla mountain pass and Tanglang La pass, the 2nd highest mountain pass in the World. By evening we will reach Leh.

Day 5 - 
Leh to Nubra Valley

Kilometers - 140

Today we will start our journey towards Nubra valley, Nubra valley is the coldest desert situated at the height of 10000ft asl in the Himalayas. Before reaching we will cross Khardungla pass at the height of 5380Mtrs, which is the world's highest motorable road. We will also visit Diskit gompa and Hunder sand dunes, where you can do a double hump camel safari. By evening we will reach the camp in Nubra valley.

Day 6 - 
Nubra Valley to Turtuk & Back

Kilometers - 160

After exploring the coldest desert, day 4 on Ladakh Motorcycle Tour continues towards Turtuk Village. Turtuk is a tiny farming village nestled between snow-topped mountains in India's far north-western region of Ladakh. Probably one of the most beautiful villages in Nubra valley, surrounded by Apricots and barley farming is an important source of income. It is situated next to the Shyok River, Turtuk is one of the few places in India where one can witness Balti culture, It is the last major village where tourist activity is allowed before the Line of Control with Pakistan. By evening we will ride back to Nubra valley.

Day 7 - 
Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake

Kilometers - 170

After breakfast we will start our journey towards world famous Pangong lake at the height of 14000Ft asl, we will be taking Nubra – Shoyk valley route, the entire roads are very tricky with sudden twists and turns with multiple water crossings. We will reach Pangong lake by evening, and the rest of the day you can spend time near the lake.

Day 8 - 
Pangong Lake to Leh

Kilometers - 175

After breakfast we will start our return journey to Leh Via Changla Mountain pass, Changla pass is situated at the height of 17900ft height and it’s the 3rd highest mountain pass in the world. We will reach Leh by evening & visit Shanti Stupa. Rest of the day you can spend time by yourself by spending time in Leh's local market for shopping.

Day 9 - 
Leh to Sarchu

Kilometers - 240

After exploring one of the greatest creations of Mother Nature we will start our return journey on the Leh Ladakh Bike trip from Delhi. We will be riding towards Sarchu on the same Manali-Leh highway which we took during our onward journey. We will reach Sarchu by early evening and for the rest of the time we can explore clicking some breathtaking sceneries of Sarchu and its surrounding mountains.

Day 10 - 
Sarchu to Manali

Kilometers - 175

On this day of the trip from Sarchu, we drive through Jispa, Keylong, Tandi, Sissu and head towards Manali. Considered to be the last village in Lahaul Valley, Jispa is the perfect hideout if you are looking for some peace and calm. The village is also the pit stop for travelers making their way to Leh. We will be crossing Baralacha La Pass and Atal Tunnel to reach Manali, it’s been a great journey.

Day 11 - 
Departure from Manali

After breakfast, you will be checked out from the hotel at noon and we will drop you at the bus stop towards your onward journey to Delhi by Volvo bus.

PS: Most of the Volvo bus starts after 3 pm since you have ample time after checking out from the hotel, you can spend some time exploring Manali town on your own.

What is included?

  • Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle with fuel for the entire trip as per the itinerary (Bikes will not be provided for personal use during the tour).

  • Delhi to Manali & Manali to Delhi Volvo Tickets.

  • Accommodation on a Double sharing basis (Hotels/Camps/Guest Houses).

  • Breakfast and Dinner (Set Menu meals, Starting from Dinner on Day 2 and ending with Breakfast on Day 11).

  • Dedicated Tour leader for the whole tour as per the itinerary.

  • Mechanic for the entire tour as per the itinerary.

  • A backup vehicle for Luggage (One Rucksack & Small backpack per person is permitted. NO trolly bags/suitcase is allowed).

  • Helmets for Rider & Pillion, Riding gloves for Rider, Knee & elbow guard for both Rider & Pillion (All the gears are used ones, we recommend each rider to carry their own riding gear).

  • 2 Litres of water bottles per person will be provided during the riding days only.

  • Portable oxygen cylinders during the entire tour & first aid kit.

  • Inner line permits and Restricted area permit for the Ladakh region.

  • Motorcycle Escapades Brand T-shirt & Certificate of Achievement.

  • Sightseeing entrance fees & Parking fees as per the itinerary.

What is excluded?

  • All your international and Domestic flight tickets.

  • Visa charges.

  • Medical or travel insurance.

  • Personal Damages/accidental damages cost to the motorcycle is not included (The client has to pay for any damages that happened during the tour).

  • Alcohol, tips, room service or anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions.

  • Lunch or any other meals which are not mentioned in the inclusions.

  • For any extra cost arising due to weather conditions, local disturbances, etc, the client has to pay the cost of extra days on the spot.

  • A refundable security deposit of Rs7,500/- per bike.

  • GST @5% is not included.

Terms & Conditions

  • A valid driving license is compulsory for all riders.

  • Hotel check-in time will start after 11 am only (Early check-in is subject to availability).

  • Any damages to the motorcycle will be completely borne by the participant on the spot to continue the further tour.

  • Any sort of Drugs/Alcohol during the ride is completely prohibited and Motorcycle Escapades will have the complete right to terminate the participant from the tour without any REFUND.

  • After finishing the day's ride, our lead rider or mechanic will collect the bike keys from each rider, this is to ensure the bikes are maintained properly for uninterrupted service during the tour.

  • Breakfast and dinner will be provided as per the inclusions in the itinerary as per the set menu from the hotels, anything ordered extra has to be borne by the participant to the hotel on the spot. The availability of non-veg food completely depends on the hotel; since we are travelling in remote places, we cannot assure the availability of non-veg food every day.

  • All hotels mentioned in the itinerary will remain unchanged, in case there is an issue with the hotel, we will provide a similar category hotel.

  • Hot water is subject to availability in Sarchu, Nubra & Pangong lake or any other remote locations.

  • In any case, if the tour got interrupted due to weather conditions, landslides, avalanches or any political or local issue, then participants should take care of the cost of alternate accommodation, we will help in finding the alternate hotel and participants should pay upfront directly to the hotel.

  • Motorcycle Escapades can change or revise the sequence of the day-wise program without any prior notice or information, it may be because of unforeseen conditions during the tour.

  • In case of any accident or damage to the bike during the tour and if the same needs to be transported in an additional pickup truck the cost has to be borne by the participant.

  • Luggage size: One Rucksack & Small backpack per person is permitted. NO trolly bags/suitcase is allowed.
